Geological Society Presentation Available

KADME and Acona, the project team behind ArcticWeb, recently presented at the Geological Society event “Exploring in the Arctic”. Erin Lynch of KADME, and Arild Haugen of Acona, presented the case for the oil industry reducing risk in the Arctic through more accessible data. ArcticWeb was highlighted as one of the key solutions currently in place in Norway.

ArcticWeb was set-up in Norway and is financed by the oil industry as a way to having better access to E&P and environmental data. The project is managed by Acona and the Whereoil technology is delivered by KADME. We are constantly adding new data themes, as prioritized by the ArcticWeb Steering Committee, and increasing usability.

There is an enormous amount of information available in ArcticWeb and it’s used for compiling reports, environmental impact assessments, scouting, E&P research, locating rigs and other vessels, and seeing layers of information together on one map.

Our presentation from the event is now available on Slideshare:  How the Oil Industry Can Reduce Risk in the Arctic with More Accessible Data
