After performing a search, results are displayed in table form.To the left of the Results Table, the Data Source and Data Type to which the currently displayed results belong are shown with a blue background.
To display the results of a different Data Type, click on the name of the Data Type.Data Sources and their associated Data Types can be expanded and collapsed at will by clicking on the Data Source name.
In the example here, the WWW.DIRNAT.NO Data Source is collapsed and the WWW.NPD.NO Data Source is expanded.
Individual pages of results can be displayed by entering the desired page number into the Page field and pressing return or by clicking on Next.
Within Table View, results can be sorted by clicking on the relevant column name. The sorting order of a previously sorted column can be reversed by clicking a second time on the column name. Sort direction is indicated by an upward or downward facing triangle.
Within Record View, results can be sorted by selecting a category from the Sort Bydrop down menu. Sort direction is indicated by an upward or downward facing triangle and can be reversed by selecting the same category name again from theSort By drop down menu.
Search results can be viewed either in Table (default) or Record views. Select a view by clicking on the relevant tab at the right hand side of the screen. The view currently in use has a blue tab background.
To reset the current search, click the Home icon located on the Toolbar. This will also return you to the Arcticweb main page.
When the mouse pointer is hovered over an individual Result Term and it appears underlined, the Term can be used as a Search Query in a new search by clicking it.
If a Link To Result Source icon exists to the right of a search result, the source document can be viewed by clicking on the icon. The source document will open in a new browser window.
To export a result set to Excel, click on the Export To Excel icon that is located to the right hand side of the column bar. Export is limited to the first 10 000 rows of the results table.
To send a result set to the Whereoil Map application, if applicable, click on the Send All To Map icon that is located to the right hand side of the column bar. This will send the first 10 000 items in the results table to the map.
By clicking on the Send Result To Map icon located to the right of a search result, an Individual result can be sent to the map.
Sending features to the map is cumulative and results in a cached search.
On the left hand side of each Data Type containing search results, there is an Information icon. Click on this icon to view a brief description of the Data Type, the freshness of the result and the update frequency.
On the right hand side of each search result, there is an Information icon. Click on this icon to view additional information on the search result.
Information on a search result can be exported to Excel by clicking on the Export to Excel icon.
